Healthcare Infection Prevention & Control
ISTARI
ISTARI OVERVIEW
The Isolation System for Treatment and Agile Response for High-Risk Infections (ISTARI) is a revolutionary portable negative pressure containment patient care system. The ISTARI family of devices increases safety, improves quality, and reduces cost for infectious diseases by minimizing the need for personal protective equipment by wrapping the PPE around the patient decreasing the need for equipment processing and training burden. The ISTARI system addresses common infrastructure issues; the clear, flexible walls facilitate patient interaction with both providers and visitors, it is manufactured at scale, and has use cases that span from patient transport to extended use in critical care environments.
Model 1
Enclosure for extended care and critical care interventions in a hospital environment for patients who require isolation precautions.
Model 1A
Adjustable enclosure for transporting patients requiring isolation precautions, with adjustable device height while maintaining continuous patient isolation during ambulance and facility transfers.
Model 1B
Enclosure for low-acuity care and procedures for patients who require isolation precautions in a temporary patient care setting (e.g., urgent care or emergency department).
Model 2
Enclosure for extended care and critical care interventions for patients who require isolation precautions in an improvised healthcare setting without hospital infrastructure.

ISTARI IN ACTION
ISTARI is designed to allow for the full spectrum of clinical care and is compatible with all transmission-based precautions. The units are compatible with standard medical utilities in a hospital room. It can be used in existing hospital rooms or in temporary surge spaces with portable utilities. See it in action…
